WE spend so long trying to be what other people want,
that when we LOOK in the mirror,
we see a stranger.”
― ANTHONY T HINCKS
This design adresses the topic of ideal beauty. The translucent outfit made out of dried glue and torn plastics represents the artificial, which relates to the growing use in plastic surgeries to reconstruct a woman's look.
The dress completely changes the body form of the figure, while exposing her real-skin which is hidden under layers of plastic.
Dress is 1/4 scale. Modeled on a porcelain figure hand-sculpted by me.
Materials: porcelain, dried glue, resin and silk fibers.
