Wind is a dance piece exploring the relationship between humans to nature in relation to global warming and climate change. Inspired by Miyazaki's film Nausicaa and The Valley of the Wind, this contemporary dance addresses raise questions about our devotion to planet Earth.
The costume was inspired by traditional Japanese elements and is heavily influenced by Fujin, the Japanese god of wind. Handmade pieces consist of a modernized 1830s corset and a kimono made of raw silk fabric, as well as a small pouch.
